The third edition of the Corsica Lirica opera singing competition is currently being held from September 21 to 24, 2023 in Ghisonaccia, Corsica, in the Church of St Michael.
62 international artists of 26 different nationalities, from Argentina to Australia and China, were selected for the semi-finals held on September 21 and 22, 2023.
The special feature of this event is that the final must include a song in Corsican, making it the only opera competition in Europe to impose a regional language.
On the list of the twenty finalists finally selected, to be held on September 23, 2023, is Luxembourg’s Lynn Feyereisen, a dramatic coloratura soprano with a master’s degree in classical singing from the Staatlichen Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Mannheim.
