Mein Boulanger-Pâtissier in Paris hat seinen Laden so aufgebaut, dass man an der Pâtisserie vorbei in der Schlange stehen muss, um zum Verkauf zu kommen. Die Pâtisserie (im Deutschen lustlos mit Feingebäck zu bezeichnen) ist eine Augenweide. Ein Stück schöner als das andere. Daran musste ich denken, als ich mir Michal Stanikowskis neue CD anhörte. 12 Tracks, 12 Gitarrenstücke vom Feinsten, einige virtuos, viele melancholisch, oder einfach bloß charmant: Stanikowski serviert sie mit einer wunderbaren Beherrschung der Technik, in schönen, warmen Farben, malerisch, frisch und stimmungsvoll. Eine potenziell verführerische CD, die leider schon nach 41 Minuten zu Ende ist.
My Boulanger-Pâtissier in Paris has set up his shop so that you have to stand in line past the pastries to get to the sales counter. The pastries are a feast for the eyes. One piece more beautiful than the other. I had to think about that when I listened to Michal Stanikowski’s new CD. 12 tracks, 12 guitar pieces of the finest quality, some virtuosic, many melancholic, or simply charming: Stanikowski plays with a wonderful mastery of technique, with beautiful, warm colours, fresh and full of atmosphere. A potentially seductive CD, which unfortunately ends after only 41 minutes.
