Austrian conductor Manfred Honeck has extended his contract as Music Director of the Pittsburgh Symphon for two years, to run through the 2021-22 season, when the orchestra will celebrate its 125th, birthday as well as the 50th anniversary of the opening of Heinz Hall. Honeck became music director in 2008.
