Paris based Orchestre Colonne has announced the appointment of French conductor Marc Korovitch as its new Music Director. He succeeds to Laurent Petitgirard who was Music Director from 2005 to 2018.
Born in 1987, Marc Korovitch graduated in choir and orchestral conducting. He studied at the Sorbonne, École Normale de Musique in Paris, CRR in Paris, and Haute Ecole de Musique in Geneva. He is currently conductor of the Jeune Chœur de France and principal conductor of the choir of the Orchestre de Paris from 1 January 2022.
