In the 2015/16 season, the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg organized 1374 performances and concerts with an occupancy rate of more than 90%. Performances and concerts took place on seven stages: in the historic building of the Mariinsky Theatre, at the Mariinsky Concert hall, at Mariinsky-2 and at four of the chamber music halls.
The Mariinsky Theatre offered 19 opera premieres to the audience and organized six festivals among them one who lasted 19 days and had the ensemble traveling 14 thousand kilometres to reach 50 cities in Russia. In the season 2015/2016 the Mariinsky Theatre (choir, opera, ballet, symphony orchestra) performed in 15 countries in the world.
