Octavio Mas-Arocas
The Marquette Symphony Orchestra (Michigan, US) has appointed Octavio Mas-Arocas as Principal Director and Conductor.
Mas-Arocas is originally from Spain and currently the Music Director and Conductor of the Mansfield Symphony Orchestra in Ohio, the Director of Orchestras at Ithaca College in New York, Conductor-in-Residence at the Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music, and conductor of the Interlochen Philharmonic at the Interlochen Arts Camp.
A protégé of Kurt Masur, he also studied with David Zinman.
