Max Bragado-Darman, 73, will leave as music director and conductor of the Monterey Symphony at the end of the 2019-2020 season. The Spanish-born conductor has served as the Californian orchestra’s Music Director since July 2004. He was Music Director of the Symphony Orchestra of Castile and León in Valladolid, Spain, from 1991-2000. From 1994-98, he was Music Director of the Louisville Orchestra.
