Der Cellist David Louwerse und der Pianist François Daudet setzen ihre Zusammenarbeit fort mit einem meditativen Programm, das mit kleineren Stücken beginnt, die die beiden Musiker aber nicht zu schmalzigem Interpretieren missbrauchen, sondern stil- und geschmackvoll sowie zutiefst musikalisch spielen. Louwerse singt sehr natürlich, sehr souverän und gleichzeitig zart, poesievoll und verinnerlicht auf seinem Cello. Für die Sonate von Rachmaninov, welche die Hälfte der Spieldauer ausmacht, kann man nicht weniger Lob aussprechen.

Sie erklingt hier in einer romantisch-leidenschaftlichen Darstellung, jedoch ohne Effektsuche und hochsensibel. Dabei gehen die gestalterischen Impulse kongenial von beiden Musikern aus.

The cellist David Louwerse and the pianist François Daudet continue their collaboration with a meditative programme that begins with smaller pieces, which the two musicians do not misuse for schmaltzy interpretations. Their playing is stylish and tasteful as well as profoundly musical. Louwerse sings very naturally, very confidently and at the same time tenderly and poetically on his cello. One could not less praise the performance of the Rachmaninov Sonata by, which takes up half of the playing time. It is passionate and highly sensitive at the same time, but without any search for effects. The creative impulses emanate congenially from both musicians.
