Finnish conductor Mikko Franck, 43, Principal Conductor of the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, has donated 75.000 Euros to the Finnish youth orchestra Vivo, according to an article in the newspaper Helsingin Sanomat.
Franck is a former musician and artistic director of the orchestra which was founded in 1986. His donation will cover this year’s activities. After Vivo lost the support by the Ministry of Education and Culture, another permanent funding base has not yet been found.
