There was a big mix-up at this year’s Emmy ceremony in Hollywood. In the In Memoriam section the organizer showed a photo of the conductor Leonard Slatkin instead of the one of the late André Previn.
Previn, a four-time Oscar winner and six-time Emmy nominee, died in February. 75 year-old Slatkin, who currently serves as music director of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, tweeted his response to the mishap, noting that “André deserved better.”
