The renowned Tchaikovsky Music Conservatory in the Russian capital Moscow is continuously expanding, as its General Director Alexander Sokolov told Russian media.
After the renovation of the old building, the construction of a student complex with dormitories, rehearsal rooms, two smaller concert halls, a swimming pool, underground parking, and a medical center is about to be finished.
Thanks to the addition of an auxiliary building to the Small Hall various administrative and legal services will be transferred there. The next step is the construction of y new library next to the Rachmaninov Hall, and, after that, the construction of an own Opera house, the project of which is in principle ready. The Opera House is one of the most pressing needs of the Moscow Conservatory, Sokolov says.
