Belmont Music Publishers has issued a statement, saying that the company’s building was a victim of the Pacific Palisades fire in Los Angeles. « We have lost our full inventory of sales and rental materials. We hope that in the near future we will be able to ‘rise from the ashes »‘ in a completely digital form. »
Belmont Music has been the exclusive publishing house for Arnold Schönberg’s works since the 1970s.
The fire destroyed also some manuscripts and original scores. Yet, most of Schönberg’s manuscripts are kept at the Schonberg Center in Vienna.
