The Mahler Chamber Orchestra announced that from 2024 on, they will be the first ensemble ever to be Artistic Director of the Musikwoche Hitzacker as a collective. Hitzacker an der Elbe is a town in Lower Saxony, Germany.
The news release says: « In the period between 2024 and 2028, we will be planning and curating the Festival. We’re very excited and proud to take on this challenge. In February 2023, we will introduce ourselves at the Festival for the first time in the form of a chamber music concert. »
