The San Carlo Theatre in Naples has filed a lawsuit against British conductor Edward Gardner for claiming in an interview with The Times that the members of the San Carlo Theatre choir belonged to two ‘rival mafia families’.
The opera house now wants to take legal action against this. The choristers of the San Carlo Theater in Naples also want to sue Gardner for « defamatory statements ».
