Russian-Canadian fortepianist Viviana Sofronitsky informed us, that a new documentary about her father is available on the net. Vladimir Vladimirovich Sofronitsky (1901 –1961) was a -Russian pianist, best known as an interpreter of the Russian composer Alexander Scriabin, whose daughter he married. Beyond Scriabin, Sofronitsky had a wide repertoire spanning major composers from Johann Sebastian Bach to Nikolai Medtner. He particularly cherished the works by Frederic Chopin.
