Nuno Coelho
The Orquesta Sinfónica del Principado de Asturias (OSPA) has announced the appointment of the Portuguese conductor Nuno Coelho, 33, as its Chief Conductor-designate with immediate effect. He officially begins his three-year tenure in October when he opens the orchestra’s 2022/23 season at the Auditorio Príncipe Felipe de Oviedo.
Coelho won the Cadaqués Conducting Competition in 2017. He was an LA Philharmonic Dudamel Fellow and is Guest Conductor of the Gulbenkian Orchestra.
