Due to decreasing revenue from the box-office (down $3.1m from 2012 to $51.7m) and fundraising, Opera Australia had a $2.4 million operating loss in 2013. However income from the Opera Australia Capital Fund of $2.8m compensated the operating loss to get, at the end, a consolidated surplus of $467,539.
