Stolen during a break-in at cellist Opélie Gaillard’s house almost two months ago, her cello was recovered by the gendarmes, who arrested three people.The cello was made in Italy in 1737 by luthier Francesco Goffriller. Two valuable bows had also been stolen from Ophélie Gaillard’s home. The instrument, valued at 1.3 million euros, belongs to the CIC bank and is on loan to the cellist.
