The Firenze-based Orchestra della Toscana (Orchestra of Tuscany) has a new Principal Conductor, Diego Ceretta, 26. The post had been vacant since June 2020 when Daniele Rustioni ended his tenure after nine years.
Milanese, Diego Ceretta is among the most promising young Italian conductors of his generation. He was a finalist in the Premio Cantelli and was awarded the City Prize as well as commitments at the Rossini Festival in Bad Wildbad. He worked with conductors such as Daniele Gatti and Fabio Luisi.
