Two months after having acquired Channel Classics Outhere Music announce the acquisition of ICA Classics Limited, a UK-based label dedicated to publishing archival materials. The label, founded in 2008 by Stephen Wright and John Pattrick, has a catalog of some 200 albums in both video and audio formats.
The catalog ranges from the BBC Legends series to recordings by Richter, Arrau, Toscanini, Giulini, Boult, Tennstedt and Karajan, as well as many other legends of the music world.
Charles Adriaenssen, founder and president of Outhere Music, explains: « The acquisition of ICA Classics is a key step in our development strategy. Outhere’s catalog includes many of the world’s leading living artists. All that was missing were recordings of artists from the past, a gap that the acquisition of ICA fills. Labels being part of Outhere are Alpha Classics, Ricercar, Phi, Arcana, Aeon, Fuga Libera, Linn, Hat Hut records, Ramée, Channel Classics and ICA Classics.
