Die von Dirk Joeres geleitetet Westdeutsche Sinfonia, ein 1987 gegründete, handverlesenes Best-Of-Ensemble der großen nordrhein-westfälischen Orchester, und die International Classical Music Awards (ICMA) haben eine Zusammenarbeit beschlossen, in deren Rahmen die Westdeutsche Sinfonia jährlich ein Konzert mit einem der von den ICMA ausgezeichneten jungen Künstler veranstalten wird.
