A fire a fire broke out last Thursday in the building of the National Philharmonic in Chisinau, the capital of Moldova. It took four hours du get it under control. Presumably, the fire started as a result of repair work, from a spark. The concert hall burned out, the dome of the building collapsed, the Small Hall was completely destroyed. The building was designed and built at the end of the 19th century and was renovated in the early 60s of the last century.

Das Symphonieorchester Vorarlberg hat die von heute, Freitag, bis Sonntag geplanten vier Konzerte in Feldkirch und Bregenz kurzfristig abgesagt. Die Gesundheitsbehörde des Landes hatte dem Orchester am Donnerstag eine Besucherzahl von maximal 250 Personen vorgeschrieben – trotz eines zuvor bewilligten Covid-19-Sicherheitskonzepts mit strengen Sicherheitsmaßnahmen. The director of the music activities at Brussels’ Bozar (Palais des Beaux-Arts) was dismissed. The German Ulrich Hauschild was thanked by means of an official communiqué highlighting « the financial difficulties of the Palais des Beaux-Arts following the corona crisis ». Ulrich Hauschild held this position since September 2013 . His contract will end prematurely on 31 December 2020.
