The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra has announced that Venezuelan conductor Domingo Hindoyan, 40, will succeed Vasily Petrenko as Chief Conductor in 2021 when Petrenko will become Music Director of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra has cancelled its 2020 European tour, scheduled for late August and September. The PSO was to play at Austria’s Salzburg Festival and at Hamburg’s Elbphilharmonie.
