American violinist Joshua Bell, 56, extends his contract as Music Director of the Academy of St Martin in the Fields has been extended until August 2028. He is in this position since 2011.

Der deutsche Dirigent Cornelius Meister, 44, seit 2018 Generalmusikdirektor der Oper Stuttgart und des Staatsorchesters Stuttgart, wird seinen bis 2026 laufenden Vertrag nicht noch einmal verlängern. Das berichteten die Stuttgarter Nachrichten. Meister ist seit 2028 in dieser Position. Er hat zurzeit keinen anderen festen Job. Er war bis 2020 Principal Guest Conductor des Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra Tokyo.

Der britische Dirigent Alpesh Chauhan bleibt für weitere drei Jahre bis Ende der Saison 2026/27 Principal Guest Conductor der Düsseldorfer Symphoniker. Sein Debüt gab Chauhan 2018 mit Bruckners 4. Dalia Stasevska
The City of Lahti’s Welfare and Recreation Committee decided to extend Dalia Stasevska’s contract by one year. The extension starts on 1 August 2024 and ends on 31 July 2025. In addition to being artistic director of the Sibelius Festival, Stasevska will conduct five weeks of season concerts.
Alevtina Ioffe folgt auf Nicholas Carter, bisheriger Chefdirigent der Oper der Bühnen Bern. Im Sommer 2025 nimmt Ioffe die Arbeit auf, wie Bühnen Bern am Donnerstag mitgeteilt haben. Alevtina Ioffe lebt seit 2022 in Berlin.
