French label NoMadMusic has won the Innovation Award of the city of Paris for its NomadPlay application. Designed for amateur or professional musicians, it will allow the user to take the place of a musician at the heart of an orchestra from his own place. The label announces an immersive experience, with a spatialized sound, synchronised scrolling of the score and a large catalogue of musical works. NomadPlay is scheduled to go online in 2018. Currently it is still in a test phase, but anyone interested in the project can become a beta tester.

American conductor Lawrence Foster, 76, has signed a contract as Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the National Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice, beginning in September 2019. He will become succeed German conductor Alexander Liebreich. Born in 1941 to a Romanian family, Foster is now Music Director of the Marseille Opera in southern France since 2013.
The provincial government of Cordoba in southern Spain has signed an agreement with the Orquesta de Cordoba worth 250,000 euros. Hence, the government has renewed its commitment to the Orchestra in order to ensure its activities.
