Mr. Ivanov, if we look at your biography, we can find many superlatives there: You started playing the piano at the age of four, you have participated in more than 50 piano competitions and given 32 piano recital concerts internationally in 2016 alone, a number that has certainly increased since then. Is playing in front of an audience the key to your development as an artist? At least it seems to have been crucial for your career so far.
Playing in front of an audience has always been a pleasure for me. Due to the cancellation of all performances since 10 month the Boston Symphony musicians have agreed to pay cuts in a new three-year labor agreement, the Orchestra announced. With a revenue loss of $35 million in ticket sales, the salary reductions average 37 percent in the first year, the announcement stated. Im Gegensatz zu seinem Kollegen Roth (Rezension) in dessen Kölner Liveaufnahme gelingt Marcus Bosch ein stĂ€ndig rhetorischer und flieĂender Schumann, in dem die Musik wirklich lebt, in der keine Manierismen den Fluss stören. Hier ist die Musik zusammenhĂ€ngend und entsprechend attraktiv. Die Erste Symphonie ist warmherzig, farbig, vital und im Larghetto auch schwĂ€rmerisch und lyrisch.
