According to a letter from Stéphane Lissner, the General Manager of the National Opera in Paris, to his employees, the French opera house is in a bad financial shape. The letter was published by Forum Opéra.
According to what Lissner writes, the revenue from the box office has seriously decreased, and for the current year, the revenues are by 2 million euros below what was expected. Lissner says, the strikes (7 shows were affected) caused a loss of 1,4 Million €.
