The villa of the Italian tenor Luciano Pavarotti (1935-2007) in the city of Pesaro will be transformed into an artistic centre, the family of the singer said. A native of Modena in northern Italy, Pavarotti had fallen in 1965 for the house called Villa Giulia in Pesaro and bought it ten years later. He described the hilltop property as his ‘retreat’. Now it will become an artistic home for theatre companies, musicians and singers who will be able to work at this inspiring place.
