Philharmonie de Paris and Cité musicale-Metz announced the renewal of their partnership agreement for five years, with the aim of strengthening their collaboration on a number of artistic and educational initiatives.

The partnership is part of a shared commitment to project development and artistic co-productions.

The two institutions are thus committed to continuing their cooperation on the Démos scheme, which they have been implementing in Moselle since 2016 with two orchestras involving over 200 children from 13 priority urban policy districts in the department. In addition, a study will be carried out on setting up a Demos orchestra in rural areas.

Strongly committed to gender equality, the Philharmonie de Paris and the Cité musicale-Metz will also continue to support the emergence of female conductors through collaboration between the La Maestra Academy and the Gabriel Pierné International Conducting Masterclasses organized each summer by the Orchestre national de Metz Grand Est and its Music Director David Reiland.
