Auch in seinem zweiten Bartok-Album für Hyperion erweist sich der französische Pianist Cédric Tiberghien als Meister der Farben und der immer wieder überraschenden Rhythmik. Er spielt wirklich sehr phantasievoll und kann sowohl das Radikale wie auch das Poetische in Bartoks Musik zum Ausdruck bringen, ohne je ihre Nähe zur Volksmusik zu verheimlichen.

In his second Bartok album, French pianist Cédric Tiberghien proves a master of colours and rhythmic invention. He is able to show as well the more radical elements as the poetry of Bartok’s compositions, remaining continuously very close to the Hungarian or Romanian traditional music.
