The Paris-Based Ensemble Intercontemporain has announced that Pierre Bleuse will be the next Music Director, to start with the 2023-24 season. He will succeed Matthias Pintscher, who has held the position since 2013.
44-year-old French conductor Pierre Bleuse is Chief Conductor of the Odense Symphony Orchestra, Artistic Director of the Prades Pablo Casals Festival and Music Director of the Lemanic Modern Ensemble.
Ensemble Intercontemporain was created in 1976 by Pierre Boulez.
