In March 2017, Placido Domingo announced, his gigantic Aida open air tour would be postponed to 2018 due to technical reasons. Now the technical reasons appear as having been financial: The complete Aida production has been cancelled, since the tour organizer Art & Entertainment LIVE GmbH has applied for the opening of insolvency proceedings to the District Court of Düsseldorf.Thousands of ticket buyers are invited to register their claim with the insolvency administrator. The production was to be shown in Munich, Frankfurt, Vienna, Basel, Paris, Aalborg/Denmark and in many other locations.
