Violinists Mikhail and Ivan Pochekin have asked us to publish the following statement: « The military invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation is a tragedy for the whole world and for us a very personal tragedy because our family is closely connected with these two countries. We were both born in Moscow and our relatives were born and now live in Ukraine. All of our thoughts today are with our two nations and we strongly condemn this military invasion.
We express solidarity with our Ukrainian friends and hope that artists from all over the world will unite against this aggression and that peace will come to Ukraine as soon as possible. »
