A total of 106 Polonaises have been submitted in a composition competition organized by Sinfonia Varsovia for the centenary of Poland’s independence, the Polish Radio announced.
The results of the competition will be known in June. Compositions awarded first, second and third prizes will be given a public performance and recorded by Sinfonia Varsovia later this year.
The competition jury is chaired by Krzysztof Penderecki and includes several other Polish composers and conductors.
