A new building for the Paderewski Academy of Music is to be constructed in Poznan, Poland. The competition jury chose the project by Studio WXCA. When planning the music academy, the architects wanted to create a timeless building that blends in harmoniously with the city’s traditional architecture and urban planning.
The new building is intended to fulfill a cultural function with an opera and theater stage and the educational tasks of the music academy. This means that the facilities will be used by various groups, from students to local residents interested in culture. The opera and theater hall will seat 400 people, but the completion date is not yet known.
