Vladimir Putin signed a decree on holding festive events on the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow in January 2023, Russian media say. The organization will be tightly under the control of his government, since Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova will head the organizing committee.
Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova has been appointed Deputy Chairman of the Committee. It also includes Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov, State Secretary Deputy Minister, Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation Alla Manilova, Head of the Department of Culture of the City of Moscow Alexander Kibovsky as well as members of the Bolshoi’s artistic staff.
