Following the recent passing away of their President, Count Jean-Pierre de Launoit, the Queen Elisabeth Competition appointed Baron Huyghebaert as President of the Board, of the General Assembly and of the Executive Committee. Jan Huyghebaert, who has a background in the world of banking, has already shown great commitment to the arts and is a great music-lover. He has been involved in the organization as Vice-president since 1988.
Count Yvan de Launoit, active in the world of medical research and a member of the Executive Committee since 1995, was appointed Vice-President.
