Ira & Larry Goldberg Coins & Collectibles has announced the auction of Manuscripts and Autographs from the William K Steiner collection that will take place on June 27. The sale will be available on eBay’s live auctions platform with online bidding in real-time.
According to the press release we have received, the highlights from the sale is Franz Schubert’s autograph manuscript of the two songs ‘Minnelied’ and ‘Die Frühe Liebe’ which were first published in the old Complete Edition of Schubert’s works in 1885. The auction also presents an autograph working manuscript of Franz Liszt’s cadenza for the first movement of Beethoven’s Third piano Concerto, prepared for Liszt’s edition of the work for two pianos; as well as an autograph letter signed by Fryderyk Chopin. Numerous letters, photos and other documents are available.
