After 290 violinists aged 18 to 31 years old applied for this year’s Reine Elisabeth Violin Competition, the international jury, presided by Gilles Ledure and consisting of Augustin Dumay, Lorenzo Gatto, Philippe Graffin, Victor Kissine, Tatiana Samouil and Vineta Sareika selected 70 candidates for the first public round of this session. Since one of the selected violinists had to withdraw, there are currently 69 participants. The 2024 Violin Competition will take place from 6 May to 12 June. The schedule of the first round will be announced after the drawing of lots on 3 May.
