Für die 10. Folge seiner Klavierreihe bei Ars Produktion hat Boris Bloch eine Sammlung russischer Klavierminiaturen verschiedener Komponisten zusammengestellt. Jedem der Stücke schenkt er dabei mit beseeltem Spiel ein Innenleben. Sein Umgang mit Ausdruck und Stimmungen ist sehr vielfältig, und auch spieltechnisch bietet Bloch ein Klavierspiel vom Feinsten. Nie hat man den Eindruck, dass die Spontaneität verlorengeht, dass Lebendigkeit und Ausdruck eher berechnet als empfunden sind. Diese Ehrlichkeit des Empfindens und Teilens macht neben den wunderbaren Stücken an sich den Reiz dieser Produktion aus.
For the 10th volume of his piano series on Ars Produktion, Boris Bloch has been compiled a collection of Russian piano miniatures by various composers. He gives each of the pieces an inner life with inspired playing, his handling of expression and moods is very varied and Bloch also offers piano playing at its best. One never has the impression that spontaneity is lost, that liveliness and expression are calculated rather than felt. This honesty of feeling and sharing is what makes this production so appealing, along with the wonderful pieces themselves.
