Conductor Martin Leginus, 44, director of the Slovak National Theater (SND), has resigned. The reason he gave was the unacceptable and unsustainable situation into which the house had been brought by the Slovakian right-wing Culture Ministry who is directly interfering in the management of the theater.

A few days ago, conductor Robert Jindra quit as chief conductor of the Kosice State Philharmonic.
