Eric Aubier
The French city Rouen (Normandy) will host the first Eric Aubier International Trumpet Competition from 22 to 28 October. « The French School is unique and world-renowned. It is a precious heritage that must be defended and promoted, » Eric Aubier says. The aim of this new competition is to replace the former Paris based Maurice André Competition, the last edition of which was organised in 2006.
French trumpet player Eric Aubier, who studied with Maurice André, is recognized as the most prominent ambassador of the French trumpet school. That’s why the competition is named after him and he also serves as Jury President.
During the competition, numerous concerts, conferences, and master classes will be held throughout Rouen, performed by members of the internationally acclaimed jury.
