Ruben Jais has resigned as artistic director and general manager of the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano, according to a report of the newspaper Corrioere della Sera. The Milan-born 59-year-old Jais has been a constant figure in the orchestra’s history of (formerly known as La Verdi), at first as choirmaster, since 2016 artistic director and since 2019 also general director. Jais said: « It is a good time to leave, because you leave when things are going well, not if they are going badly. »
