Warum? Warum bringt ein Label so ein Album auf den Markt? Warum spielt der chinesische Pianist Yundi Li dieses Mozart-Programm und nennt es großspurig The The Sonata Salzburg Project? Wollte er zeigen, dass man Mozart sehr ruhig, bedacht und einfach nur flüssig spielen kann, quasi ohne dynamischen Veränderungen, absolut sachlich und gefühlsfrei? Nur um der puren Schönheit willen? Dieses saft- und kraftlose Mozart-Programm ist das langweiligste, das ich seit Jahren gehört habe.
Why? Why does a label release an album like this one? Why does the Chinese pianist Yundi Li play this Mozart program and pompously call it The Sonata Salzburg Project? Did he want to show that Mozart can be played very calmly, deliberately and simply fluently, virtually without dynamic changes, absolutely matter-of-factly and emotionally free? Only for the sake of pure beauty? This lifeless and powerless Mozart program is the most boring I’ve heard in years.
