More than 50 young musicians from all over Europe will meet in Santander from 2 July onwards, to take part in the 20th edition of the Santander Encounter of Music and Academy. During a month, they will work in the classroom and will share the stage within a program that, as always, will cover a large international repertoire. This year the Encounter celebrates its 20th anniversary and will feature, among other highlights, a special 20th anniversary concert on 20 July at the Argenta Hall, as well as the world premiere, on 24 July, of the new work written by Harrison Birtwistle, expressly composed for the occasion.
The teaching staff will comprise, among others, violist Máté Szücs, cellist Miklós Perényi, violinist Zakhar Bron, horn player Radovan Vlatković and conductor Péter Csaba
