From 25 July to 5 August 2022, the Paloma O’Shea Santander Piano Competition will be holding its 20th edition and its 50th anniversary.The registration period is open now, until 18 October 2021. The competition is open to young pianists the world over born from 1 January 1990 onwards. The Jury comprises Spanish pianistJoaquin Achucarro as president, Claudio Martinez-Mehner, Mexican conductor Alondra de la Parra, Rena Shereshevskaya, Péter Csaba, Barry Douglas, Akiko Ebi, Hüseyin Sermet and Marta Gulyas
The pre-selection stage will take place between March and April 2022 in the cities of Madrid, Moscow, New York, and Paris. The 20 candidates will be selected from there, and they will meet in Santander on 24 July of the same year.
