A man who accused conductor James Levine (1943-2021) of molesting him for years has filed suit over the alleged abuse. He brought the case anonymously in the Manhattan Supreme Court.
The accuser says Levine began to sexually abuse him in 1985 when he was 15, according to the court documents. The victim, now 52, states in the suit that the abuse continued into his adulthood. In the nine years before it finally ended in 2010, “Levine provided plaintiff with thousands of Euros, while continuing to sexually abuse him,” the suit alleges. So, if this is true, Levine paid for sex not in Dollars but in Euros. There are, of course, many other questions that come up. Why did the well informed institutions not react at that time, and why did the plaintiff continue to see Levine?
