Russian conductor Alexander Sladkovsky, 53, is this year’s winner of the Sergei Rachmaninov International Award, the organizer says. Sladkovsky is Artistic director and chief conductor of the State Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Tatarstan, and Artistic director of the International Festival Sergey Rachmaninov in Kazan.
