Leonard Slatkin
The Detroit Symphony Orchestra announced today that Leonard Slatkin, 71, has extended his contract as Music Director through the 2017-2018 season, after which he’ll change into a newly created position as music director laureate for at least two more years.
Leonard Slatkin is Music Director in Detroit since 2008. He is also leading the Orchestre National de Lyon since the 2011-2012 season.
