The musicians of the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra went on strike this evening, asking for the dismissal of their chief conductor, Uros Lajovic. The strike is for the moment limited to this day.
Musicians expect the orchestra’s manager Damjan Damjanovic to find a replacement conductor. From the 96 musicians 75 that they no longer wish to work with Lajovic. Lajovic told the Slovenian press that he intends to keep his job until the end of its term.
